Today I did part of the Highline Trail before heading on to Calgary. I was wondering if I’d be able to do it as reviewers online acted like it was really tough with a steep drop-off beside a narrow path for the first half mile of the trail. They usually have a cable along the cliff wall for holding on to, but had already removed it for the season. When I hiked to this part of the trail and saw it I was fine with the arrangement and actually enjoyed it immensely.
I then drove to Calgary. I was stopped at the border and asked some extra questions. I guess since I’d been in Canada previously and was back it raised some flags.
I got to Calgary and checked into the condo I'd rented for a few days. The views from this 16th floor unit were amazing. My bedroom had windows on two sides. From it I could see the Calgary Tower, the stadium, and the city of Calgary below. I slept with the shades open and went to sleep with the lights of Calgary out my floor-to-ceiling windows.
