A town made famous by a tower that leans. But the lean has been stopped, and even reversed a little, and the tower now has at least several hundred more years before they say it would ever fall.
I noticed that the wear on the steps tended to veer towards the direction of the tilt as the steps wound around. On the leaning side, the wear was more on the right side of the step. As the stairs wound around, the wear veered left. Then back to the right. I'd love to see something where each step is photographed horizontally, and then all pics are shown consecutively split seconds apart.
