Today Eva and I made plans to meet during her lunch break. I’d hang out with her for a bit, then head to Wanaka afterwards. This would be the last time I’d see her before leaving Queenstown. Oddly enough, with the busyness of Queenstown and the party atmosphere, I figured I wouldn’t enjoy it much, but with the Eva factor it was much more fun than I expected. She is a lot of fun, and hanging out with her made Queenstown one of my favorite experiences. It was hard to have to say goodbye.
The drive to Wanaka was very scenic. I loved the drive and Wanaka itself is a neat little town. A lake surrounded by awesome mountains, with a city center that has restaurants and things to do. I even found a neighborhood near where I’m staying that I would want to live in if I ever moved to Wanaka. I'll check it out by foot some evening.
I figured I’d use tomorrow to get some things done online, but the internet is atrociously bad at this campground. At one point it wasn’t moving. I ended up tethering to my iPhone and cleaning out my data just downloading the rest of the pics and checking Gmail. I had to top up my data plan so that I'd have data should I need it in an emergency. Sadly, my data plan renews once a month and had just renewed a couple days ago. I had no idea I’d need this much data when I got the phone. I’m constantly purchasing extra data each week to get me by. If the internet doesn’t improve tomorrow, I may see what I want to see in Wanaka, then move on and hope for better internet elsewhere.
