Today I went with Eva, Judy, and Viv, a friend of Judy's, to a town fair in Wanaka, NZ, a town about an hour from Queenstown. Hot day, but fun and a good experience. There was everything you'd expect to see at a fair, though LOTS more sheep and wool. There was a whole area devoted to live sheep, and another where wool had been judged based on various criteria. You could go around and touch the various submissions, though, the winning wool was behind glass.
We spent a few hours there then went to a beach right next to where the fair was and hung out there for a bit.
Viv constantly reminded me of a relative of mine from Georgia - Candy. Her appearance, mannerisms, and even how she laughed reminded me of her. I wish I'd taken a pic of her to show Candy :) I'd intended to get a group pic but didn't.
That night Eva and I walked around Queenstown grabbing a bite to eat at one of the few places still open after 9:00 PM. I'm not used to places closing so early. A man could starve to death in this city.
