A friend of mine had mentioned wanting to do a road trip that included Boston, Nova Scotia, Mackinac Island (Michigan) and a few other places. These are all places I had wanted to visit for a while, so when plans fell through for their traveling buddy, I happily stepped in. I drove my own car to Michigan and kept it parked there while we took my friend's car around the circuit. I'd use my car after this trip to start on another trip in mid-September so driving out to Michigan seemed the thing to do.
We started in southwest Michigan and headed north. Our track took us to the car-less Mackinac Island, up into Canada through Montreal, and my new favorite city - Quebec City, Quebec. From there we continued east to Prince Edward Island, then up to the northmost point of Nova Scotia (and one of my favorite campsites ever), then down to the southern regions of Nova Scotia, then through New England, Boston, then we cut across back to southwest Michigan. Awesome trip with some awesome sights!
Unfortunately, before I could get most of my pics saved to the cloud, I lost a few iPhone pics due to an issue with the Windows update and iTunes. But I have my Canon pics and some iPhone pics that I did save, so it wasn't a total loss fortunately.
