After a continental breakfast, I left Bairnsdale and headed to Merimbula, Australia. Not much along the way to see, mainly woods, but it was a nice drive. I was able to get there just before dark and set up with a little bit of natural light. I had that part of the campground to myself so it's nice and quiet. I could hear the waves crashing on the shore which is down a cliff about 25 feet from my tent.
I did see an older couple in the kitchen/dining room that I talked to for quite a while. They gave me some tips about what to see my next few days.
As I walked back to my tent after eating I saw something I was hoping to see in the wild before leaving Australia. Kangaroos! I got in my car and drove closer to them, taking pics and videos of them. One of the videos is below.
At 11 C that night (about 52 F) it was terrific sleeping weather.
