I went to bed late, and was woken around 9:00 AM by what sounded like people on the balcony right outside my bedroom. I went out to the living room to see what it was but found the balcony completely empty. I went back to my room and discovered that there was a window cleaner cleaning my bedroom window. And that I didn't have a balcony. I opened the shades, motioned to my camera asking him if I could take a few pics, and with his "ok" I moved about the room taking shots as though he were in a studio. At the end I waved my gratitude which got a thumbs up from him. I had him do it a second time for the camera : )
A friend from my from Australia wanted to see the "Twelve Apostles" west of Melbourne. These are "stacks" or rocks in the ocean just off the shoreline. Erosion has created these out of the cliffs in the area, but erosion has also reduced the 12 to 8, the last one falling about a decade ago.
We got too late of a start, so we didn't make it all the way before it got dark. We did see some nice coast line, and a lighthouse. We found a nice pavilion to eat our dinner in as the sun was setting. There was a younger guy from France we talked to for about an hour as we ate. He was traveling up the coast on vacation. I think he was a gap yearer - someone taking off a year to travel between graduation and "real life". But before long we were all growing cold, so we parted ways, hopping into our heated vehicles.
